SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Police arrested a 55-year-old man on drug and motor vehicle charges after he was found unresponsive in a vehicle in a parking lot on Dec. 26.
Jeffrey D. Pitkin, of East Hartford, was taken into custody at 2:14 p.m. after officers responded to reports of an unresponsive male inside a vehicle.
During the investigation, officers observed narcotics and associated paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle.
Pitkin was found to be in possession of 5.76 grams of cocaine and eight wax folds containing fentanyl.
Officers also determined the license plate attached to the vehicle did not belong to the vehicle.
Pitkin was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of a marker plate, illegal operation of a motor vehicle without minimum insurance, use of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
He was processed on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
Pitkin is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Jan. 14, 2026, at 9 a.m.
