Two arrested in burglary series investigation in Macedon

MACEDON, NY — The Macedon Police Department reports two additional arrests in a series burglary case from March 2023.

Arrested were Mia Fernandez, age 26, of Bradenton, Florida, and Cordae A. Terry, age 28, of Rochester.

A total of seven individuals were indicted in Wayne County Court in November.

Four of those individuals were subsequently taken into custody and arraigned within two days of the indictment.

Fernandez and Terry were not located on that date.

Police determined that Fernandez had recently relocated to Florida, and with the assistance of the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, she was taken into custody at her place of work.

She waived extradition and she was transported back to New York on Dec. 2 by Macedon Police Department officers.

Fernandez was arraigned, released and scheduled to appear in the Wayne County Court at a later date.

Terry was located within the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision and was ordered to appear in the Wayne County Court on Dec. 18.

He was arraigned and released back to the custody of DOCCS to appear at a later date in Wayne County Court.

The seventh indicted suspect was determined to be deceased.

The Macedon Police Department was assisted in the investigation by Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Schuyler County Sheriff, Gates Police Department, Irondequoit Police Department, Monroe County Probation and Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
