NEWBURY, VT — Vermont State Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of attempting to break into two vehicles and damaging a business sign.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were notified at approximately 7:30 a.m. Dec. 8 of suspicious activity in the area of Main Street North in Wells River.
Police learned that at approximately 12:52 a.m. that morning, an unknown man attempted to gain access to two parked motor vehicles.
The man was unable to gain access to the vehicles and left the area.
He then traveled further down the road and damaged a business sign.
The man is wanted on charges of attempted unlawful trespass into a motor vehicle and unlawful mischief.
