HARTLAND, VT — A woman was cited and a man was arrested after a vehicle struck gas pumps at a convenience store on Dec. 26, according to the Windsor County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff Ryan Palmer and Sgt. Keefe responded to Mikes Mobile on Route 5 at 8:32 a.m. for a report that Morgan Bertholdt, 25, of Hartland, had struck the gas pumps, causing damage, and left her vehicle at the scene before fleeing on foot.
Bertholdt was later located and issued a citation for leaving the scene of an accident and negligent operation.
A companion of Bertholdt, Jason Hammond, 31, of Hartland, was found to be wanted on an extraditable warrant out of New Hampshire.
Hammond was also charged with providing false information to law enforcement and possession of heroin.
He was arrested and appeared in court that day.
Hammond is being held on $25,000 bail at Southern State Correctional Facility.
