WOODBURY, NJ — A 25-year-old man has been charged with promoting prostitution of a minor and endangering the welfare of a child, Gloucester County Prosecutor Andrew B. Johns announced today.
Amir A. Vaughan, of Egg Harbor Township, faces first-degree charges following an investigation by the Franklin Township Police Department.
According to court documents, a minor victim reported to Franklin Township police on Dec. 10 that she was forced by a man known as “Kyro” to perform sexual acts with adult men on four occasions between April and May.
The victim also reported being forced to record the interactions so “Kyro” could sell the video content.
Police identified “Kyro” as Vaughan, a registered sex offender, which was confirmed by the victim.
A search warrant was executed at Vaughan’s residence where two cell phones were found.
Vaughan was taken into custody and processed.
He is being held at the Salem County Correctional Facility.
The investigation involved the Franklin Township Police Department, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, Atlantic County SWAT, and the Egg Harbor Township Police Department.
The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Victim’s, High Tech, and Crime Scene Investigation Units also participated in the investigation.
