CUMBERLAND, RI — A North Providence man was arrested following a motor vehicle accident on Route 295.
Kevin Whitaker, 27, of North Providence, was taken into custody at 4:15 p.m. and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving damage to an attended vehicle.
State Police troopers investigated the accident and subsequently located Whitaker at his residence.
He was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
Whitaker was released with a future Third Division District Court date.
