MEDFORD LAKES, NJ — A fatal motor vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Tuckerton Road and Lenape Trail on Dec. 23.
The Medford Lakes Police Department, Medford Township Police Department, Fire and EMS responded to the scene at 10:33 a.m. for a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries.
The on-scene investigation determined that an 83-year-old Medford Lakes resident was turning east onto Tuckerton Road from Lenape Trail when his vehicle was struck by a Verizon truck traveling west on Tuckerton Road.
The Verizon truck was operated by a 65-year-old resident of Evesham Township.
The 83-year-old Medford Lakes resident was transported to Virtua Marlton Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Verizon truck reported minor injuries and refused further treatment.
The motor vehicle crash is currently under investigation by the Medford Lakes Police Department Traffic Unit.
Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the Medford Township Police Department, Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, Virtua EMS Medics, Medford Lakes Fire Department, Medford Lakes Fire Police, Medford Township EMS, Medford Township Fire Department, Medford Township Fire Police and Indian Mills Fire Police.
