PENN YAN, NY — Police arrested a Branchport woman on a warrant after she failed to appear in court on traffic charges.
Ruth A. Reid was taken into custody for failure to respond to an appearance ticket, according to Penn Yan Police Department.
Reid had been issued an appearance ticket in December following an arrest for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree, unlicensed operator and inadequate headlights.
She failed to appear at Penn Yan Village Court on her scheduled court date.
Reid was transported to Yates County Jail and appeared in Centralized Arraignment Processing Court to be arraigned.
