HOPE VALLEY, RI — A woman was arrested on multiple fraud-related charges Monday evening at the state police barracks.
Maria Peralta, 37, of Woonsocket, was taken into custody at 5:56 p.m. Dec. 22.
She faces charges of embezzlement and fraudulent conversion, obtaining property by false pretenses or personation, unlawful appropriation, fraudulent use of credit cards, access to computer for fraudulent purposes, and stealing as larceny.
The arrest resulted from an investigation conducted by Trooper Ribeiro.
Peralta responded to the Hope Valley Barracks where she was processed.
She was arraigned by a justice of the peace and issued a future Third District Court date.
