Vehicle thefts, break-ins reported in Waterbury

WATERBURY, VT — Troopers with the Berlin Barracks received numerous reports of vehicle break-ins in the area of Union Street and High Street on December 22.

A grey 2012 Toyota Tacoma was reported stolen in one incident.

The truck is described as having rust, dents and beach access stickers on the tailgate with Vermont license plate Trk 309A478.

Additional reports consisted of vehicles being rummaged through and several items being taken.

During the course of the investigation, troopers learned a financial card taken from one of the vehicles was used at a gas station in South Burlington.

On December 23, troopers received surveillance video of a male who allegedly used the financial card.

Troopers are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the male for questioning related to the incidents.
