LOCKPORT, NY — Three Buffalo men were arrested early Monday morning after a caller reported suspicious activity in a residential neighborhood.
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Birchwood Drive at 2:05 a.m. on Dec. 23.
A 9-1-1 caller reported two people trying to get into vehicles by trying door handles and provided a suspect vehicle description and plate number.
A plainclothes sheriff’s office investigator located the vehicle and observed three males going from driveway to driveway as they proceeded through the neighborhoods.
Marked units arrived and initiated a traffic stop at Rebecca Road and Bordino Drive.
Roland D. Reddick, 20, of Buffalo, Amarion D. Sharp, 20, of Buffalo, and Lamont L. Lewis, 22, of Buffalo, were arrested after a lengthy investigation.
They are charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, petit larceny, a misdemeanor, and fifth-degree conspiracy, a misdemeanor.
Reddick and Lewis were released on appearance tickets due to bail reform legislation.
Sharp, who was released last week for a similar arrest in the town of Hamburg, was held for centralized arraignment.
Multiple items of stolen property were recovered from the vehicle and it was impounded.
