Police seek help locating missing teenage girl in Newark

NEWARK, NJ — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 17-year-old girl.

Jarolin Jimenez, of Newark, was reported missing on Thursday.

She was last seen in the 400 block of Avon Avenue on Friday, Dec. 12, at approximately 5 p.m.

Jimenez is Hispanic, 5’5″ tall, 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

She was wearing a black jacket, white sweater and carrying a book bag.

Her family believes she may be in Brooklyn.

Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. urges anyone with information about Jimenez’s whereabouts to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
