Man arrested on warrant in Lincoln

LINCOLN, RI — A Providence man was arrested Monday on an outstanding warrant stemming from a hit-and-run investigation.

Richard Elliott, 61, of Providence, was taken into custody at his residence at 10:30 a.m.

State police said Elliott was arrested on an affidavit and arrest warrant charging him with duty to stop resulting in damage to attended vehicle and driving with a suspended license, fourth offense.

The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Lincoln Woods Barracks.

Elliott was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment.
