Man arrested on multiple warrants in West Warwick

WEST WARWICK, RI — A Massachusetts man was arrested on multiple warrants following a traffic stop Monday night.

Andrew George, 40, of Upton, Massachusetts, was taken into custody at 9:12 p.m. on Centerville Road.

George was arrested on a Providence Superior Court full bench warrant for technical violation on the original charge of sexual offender failure to notify law enforcement originating from the Central Falls Police Department.

He also faces a Washington Superior Court bench warrant for AG request rule-9 on the original charge of obtaining money under false pretenses originating from the Central Falls Police Department.

Additional charges include a Providence Superior Court full bench warrant for AG request rule-9 on the original charge of sexual offender registration required originating from Rhode Island State Police headquarters.

George was also arrested on a Third Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the original charge of driving without consent of owner originating from the Central Falls Police Department.

He faces an affidavit and arrest warrant for sexual offender failure to notify change in address originating from the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office.

George was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed.

He was later transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center pending future arraignment.
