CORTLAND, NY — A woman was arrested on a drug charge after officers responded to an investigation on Clinton Avenue.
Nicole M. Shedd, 24, of Cortland, was taken into custody at approximately 3:02 p.m. Dec. 20 when officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Clinton Avenue in the city.
Officers determined Shedd had a bench warrant out of the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office.
Shedd was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and was transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
She was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor.
Shedd was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in City of Cortland Court on Jan. 5, 2026, at 9 a.m. for arraignment.
After processing, Shedd was turned over to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office for the bench warrant.
