Two arrested on assault charges in Hinsdale

HINSDALE, NY — Two people were arrested on multiple assault and endangerment charges following an indictment by Cattaraugus County Court.

Emily E. Ziegler, 29, and Joshua Svendsen-Monroe, 28, both of Hinsdale, were taken into custody at 6:26 p.m. Dec. 19 after an indictment warrant was signed.

Each faces two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of second-degree strangulation, two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, two counts of third-degree assault, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of second-degree unlawful imprisonment.

Both were remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
