MORETOWN, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a Northfield man on domestic assault charges Saturday night.
Dustin Herring, 30, of Northfield, was taken into custody at 11:20 p.m. on Herring Brook Road.
Police received a report of a domestic assault at that location.
Investigation revealed Herring caused bodily injury to a domestic partner, according to police.
Police determined Herring was in violation of court-ordered conditions of release not to consume alcohol.
Herring was transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing.
He was charged with domestic assault, violation of conditions of release and interference with access to emergency services.
Herring was issued conditions of release to appear in Washington County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Dec. 22 at 12:30 p.m.
