BRENTWOOD, NH — A man who failed to appear in court on arson charges was arrested in Indiana and extradited back to New Hampshire.
Austen Cooper was taken into custody by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana on Nov. 13 after the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division located him.
Cooper had failed to appear in Rockingham Superior Court on three counts of arson and two counts of possession of infernal machine.
Authorities determined Cooper had fled New Hampshire and was residing in Indiana.
Cooper was extradited from Indiana to New Hampshire on Dec. 18 and booked into the Rockingham County Jail.
He remains held on preventative detention.
