NEWBURY, VT — A 41-year-old man was arrested on a domestic assault charge Saturday evening following a family disturbance.
Vermont State Police troopers from the Saint Johnsbury Barracks were notified of the incident at a residence on Dickey Road at 7:08 p.m.
Troopers responded to the scene and learned that the victim had been assaulted by a household member, causing pain and fear.
Christopher Lovely, 41, of Newbury, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Saint Johnsbury State Police Barracks for processing.
He was later ordered held on $500 bail.
