Man arrested after high-speed pursuit in West Warwick

WEST WARWICK, RI — State Police arrested a Massachusetts man early Tuesday following a high-speed pursuit that began in Warwick and ended in West Warwick.

Clifford J. Ledrow, 42, of Fall River, Massachusetts, was taken into custody at 12:17 a.m.

Troopers charged Ledrow with eluding law enforcement in high-speed pursuit, first offense, two counts; reckless driving and other offenses against public safety, first offense; obstructing an officer in execution of duty; vandalism, malicious damage to property; and duty to stop for accident resulting in damage to attended vehicle.

Ledrow was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Providence Police Department charging him with first-degree sexual assault and felony assault.

The arrest followed an attempted motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick, according to State Police.

Ledrow was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and arraigned by a justice of the peace.

He was turned over to the Providence Police Department.
