Man cited for negligent operation in Rockingham

ROCKINGHAM, VT — A New Hampshire man faces criminal charges after allegedly driving 110 mph on Interstate 91 South.

Walker H. Wilbur, 25, of Richmond, New Hampshire, was stopped at mile marker 36 on Dec. 20 at approximately 3:30 p.m., according to the Windham County Sheriff’s Office.

Sgt. Norton observed the vehicle traveling 110 mph in a posted 65 mph zone.

Wilbur was charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle and excessive speed.

He was also issued traffic tickets for the civil speeding violation and for operating without a valid operator’s license, as his privilege to operate in New Hampshire was under suspension.

Wilbur was released from the scene on a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Feb. 24, 2026.
