WARWICK, NY — The Town of Warwick Police Department, in coordination with the Warwick Fire Department, Orange County Hazardous Materials Unit, representatives from the Village of Warwick and Orange County Emergency Services, are currently operating at the scene of an active fire at the Convergent battery storage site located at 28 Church Street in the Village of Warwick.
The fire was first reported at approximately 10:15 p.m.
The fire is contained to the site.
The Orange County Hazardous Materials Unit is on scene monitoring air quality.
There is currently no danger to the public.
Emergency units will remain on scene as they await additional local, county, and state resources, as well as response and support from Convergent.
