3 arrested in child predator sting in North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Three men were arrested following an undercover operation targeting individuals attempting to sexually exploit minors online, police said.

North Haven detectives, working with the FBI’s New Haven Field Office and Albany Field Office, conducted the operation on Dec. 19.

Kenneth Richardson, 30, of Bridgeport, was charged with criminal attempt to commit sexual assault in the 2nd degree, risk of injury to a minor, enticing a minor, possession of heroin, and possession with intent to sell.

He is being held on $250,000 bond.

Christian Manuel Espinosa, 33, of New Haven, was charged with criminal attempt to commit sexual assault in the 2nd degree, risk of injury to a minor, and enticing a minor.

He is being held on $200,000 bond.

Shawn Stearns, 44, of East Haven, was charged with criminal attempt to commit sexual assault in the 2nd degree, risk of injury to a minor, enticing a minor, and possession of a controlled substance.

He is being held on $200,000 bond.
