Man arrested with stolen gun in Worcester

WORCESTER, MA — Police arrested a man with a stolen firearm after he refused to move his vehicle in a fast-food drive-thru early Thursday morning.

Officers were dispatched to a restaurant on Shrewsbury Street at approximately 1:43 a.m. on Dec. 19 for a report of a disorderly person.

The caller reported an ongoing issue with a male driver who refused to move his vehicle forward in the drive-thru.

Upon arrival, the operator refused to comply with numerous requests by officers to move his vehicle.

Officers eventually approached the vehicle and observed a knife under the driver’s seat.

An officer removed the keys from the ignition and placed the operator, Aaron Wade, 27, of Worcester, under arrest.

Officers conducted an inventory of his vehicle and found a green satchel with a black firearm inside.

Officers confirmed that Wade did not have a license to carry and the firearm was reported stolen.

Wade is facing several charges including carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of ammunition without an FID card, disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct.
