HOLLIS, NH — A 48-year-old Hollis man turned himself in to police on charges he made dozens of lewd phone calls to a local medical facility.

Zachary Hayner faces 13 counts of harassment, all misdemeanors, after an investigation revealed approximately three dozen inappropriate phone calls were made to the medical facility between Nov. 17 and Dec. 15.

A representative of the medical facility reported the disturbing phone calls to police on Dec. 8, according to a statement from Police Chief Brendan LaFlamme.

The calls reportedly involved lewd behaviors from the calling party and served no legitimate purpose, police said.

Investigators determined the calls came from a Hollis phone number and developed probable cause to believe Hayner made the calls.

A warrant was issued for Hayner’s arrest, and he turned himself in on Dec. 18.

Hayner was held on preventative detention and transported to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections pending arraignment at the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District.

Hayner was released from the Hillsborough County House of Corrections on Nov. 10, where he had been held pending trial on four counts of gross lewdness in the presence of a child under 16.

Those charges remain pending in Hillsborough County Superior Court, with bail conditions in place.

Police are asking anyone with information related to Hayner’s activities since his release to contact the Hollis Police Department at (603) 465-7637.
