TEWKSBURY, MA — A man was arrested on drug trafficking charges Wednesday afternoon following a months-long investigation by the Tewksbury Police Department and multiple law enforcement agencies.
Abbey Kasujja, 31, of Tewksbury, was charged with obstruction of justice, trafficking in 200 grams or more of methamphetamine, trafficking in 100 grams or more of cocaine and trafficking in 36 grams or more of cocaine.
The Tewksbury Police Department Criminal Investigations Division conducted the investigation in collaboration with the Billerica Police Department, Burlington Police Department, the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Cross Borders Initiative Task Force.
Police obtained an arrest warrant charging Kasujja with trafficking in methamphetamine and three counts of distribution of a Class B substance, as well as a search warrant for his residence.
On Wednesday at about 1:30 p.m., police from multiple agencies coordinated to serve the search warrant and take Kasujja into custody.
During the search, police recovered 445.6 grams of methamphetamine, 121.8 grams of cocaine and 82.3 grams of crack cocaine, as well as several phones, laptops, hard drives and a large quantity of cash.
Kasujja was arraigned Thursday in Lowell District Court, where he was ordered held on $10,000 cash bail.
