SALEM, MA — Members of the Salem Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division working in partnership with the Lynn Police Department arrested a man on three counts of distributing a Class B substance (crack cocaine) subsequent offense Thursday following a lengthy investigation.
Derrick Poe, of Lynn, was arrested in Salem.
Based upon the investigation, probable cause was developed to obtain a search warrant for Poe’s apartment in Lynn.
Salem and Lynn detectives executed the warrant and discovered a quantity of crack cocaine along with equipment to facilitate illegal narcotic sales.
Also located during the search were two “ghost guns,” an extended magazine, and one stolen handgun.
Based upon the results of the search warrant, Chastity Black, also of Lynn, was placed under arrest as well.
Poe and Black will face charges in Lynn District Court.
