DOVER, NH — Chief David Terlemezian of the Dover Police Department announces the arrest of Kevin Bourre, 52, of Dover.

On Dec. 17 at approximately 10:50 p.m., officers responded to Polly Ann Trailer Park for a reported disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a roommate of the defendant, who reported being threatened with a firearm by Bourre inside his residence.

While officers were speaking with the victim on scene, Bourre exited his residence and discharged a handgun in an unknown direction before immediately retreating back inside the home.

Due to the nature of the incident, a shelter-in-place order was issued for the immediate area, and the Strafford County Regional Tactical Operations Unit responded to assist with taking Bourre into custody.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., Bourre exited his residence and surrendered to officers without further incident.

Once the defendant was in custody, detectives from the Dover Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at Bourre’s residence to recover evidence related to the incident.

Bourre has been charged with Criminal Threatening with a Deadly Weapon and Reckless Conduct, both felony offenses.

He declined the services of a bail commissioner and is being held at the Strafford County House of Corrections.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at 10 a.m. in the 7th Circuit Court – District Division – Dover.
