BOSTON, MA — Two people were arrested following a drug investigation that resulted in the recovery of narcotics and firearms at two Dorchester residences.
Members of the District C-11 Dorchester Drug Control Unit, working with the B-2 Roxbury and B-3 Mattapan Drug Control Units, arrested two individuals on Dec. 16.
Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Norton Street, targeting Dana Jordan, 44, of Dorchester.
At approximately 1:45 p.m., officers conducting surveillance observed Jordan exit the residence and later stopped him inside a grocery store on Bowdoin Street.
Officers then returned to the Norton Street address to execute the search warrant, knocking and announcing their presence before entering through an unlocked door.
A protective sweep located two additional individuals inside who were informed of the search warrant.
During the search, officers recovered one plastic bag containing crack cocaine from a bedroom window and one plastic bag containing 54 pills later identified as Oxycodone.
Officers determined Jordan was staying between the Norton Street address and a residence on Jacob Street in Dorchester with Dana Smart, 64.
Officers responded to the Jacob Street address, knocked and announced their presence, and made contact with Smart from outside the residence.
After approximately two minutes, Smart opened the door.
Inside the residence, officers observed drug paraphernalia in Smart’s bedroom, including cocaine residue, marijuana residue, a scale and plastic baggies.
A subsequent search revealed two firearms inside a bag under a bed.
Officers recovered a Colt .45 caliber semi-automatic firearm, a .38 Special revolver loaded with six rounds of ammunition, one magazine loaded with seven .45 caliber rounds and two 9mm rounds of ammunition.
Smart was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
Jordan was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance and possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone.
Both individuals were arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
