OWEGO, NY — Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a driver who fled the scene of a crash that injured multiple people.
The collision occurred about 8:40 p.m. on Dec. 15 when a dark-colored, four-door BMW crossed the Court Street Bridge northbound, according to the Owego Police Department.
The BMW ran a red light at the intersection with Front Street and struck a four-door passenger vehicle, injuring the occupants, police said.
The suspect vehicle continued northbound on Court Street, then North Avenue.
Police said the BMW lost some vehicle parts during the incident, which are being processed to help identify the owner.
The suspect vehicle is described as a 2025-26 BMW 5 Series, four-door sedan, missing a driver-side LED fog light.
Police are asking anyone with information about the vehicle owner or driver to contact the Owego Police Department.
