Pedestrian critically injured in Jersey City crash

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Authorities are investigating a crash that left a pedestrian critically injured Sunday night.

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department were notified of a pedestrian struck in the area of Mallory Avenue and Communipaw Avenue at approximately 9:15 p.m.

Responding officers located a 61-year-old man from Jersey City with life-threatening injuries.

He was transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

The striking vehicle remained at the scene.
