LAURENS, NY — New York State Police responded to a fully engulfed fire at a mobile home on County Highway 11 just after 2 p.m. Dec. 13.
West Laurens Fire, West Oneonta Fire, Mount Vision Fire and Laurens Fire were on scene attempting to control the blaze when troopers from the Oneonta barracks arrived.
Roger D. Delong, 62, of Laurens, was determined to be inside the residence and was later found dead.
Investigators from New York State Fire and the Otsego County Office of Emergency Services responded to the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
