Man arrested on burglary charge in Horseheads

HORSEHEADS, NY — A Penn Yan man has been arrested on a felony burglary charge stemming from a December 2023 incident.

Kristoffer D. Johnson, 33, was arrested on a Superior Court warrant for burglary in the third degree, a class D felony, according to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a business on Old Ithaca Road in the town of Horseheads to investigate a burglary complaint in December 2023.

The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division after the initial investigation.

Investigators executed a search warrant and identified Johnson as a suspect in the crime.

A warrant for Johnson’s arrest was obtained.

Johnson was remanded to the Chemung County Jail.

He will be arraigned at a later date.
