JOHNSTOWN, NY — A 15-year-old boy was arrested on felony sex crime charges following an investigation into incidents that allegedly occurred in 2024.
The juvenile, of Putnam County, Florida, was initially taken into custody by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office in Florida on Dec. 3 at approximately 9 a.m. following an investigation by Fulton County authorities that led to an arrest warrant being issued by Fulton County Court.
Authorities allege that between May and June of 2024, the suspect engaged in oral sexual conduct with a 6-year-old victim by forcible compulsion.
The juvenile was charged with one count of criminal sexual act in the first degree by forcible compulsion and one count of criminal sexual act in the first degree with a victim less than 11 years old, both class B felonies.
On Dec. 8 at approximately 2:30 p.m., the juvenile was processed by Fulton County Sheriff’s investigators and arraigned before Judge McAuliffe in Fulton County Court Youth Part.
An order of protection was issued protecting the victim.
The juvenile was released to the custody of a parent and is scheduled to appear back in court at a later date.
