EAST LYME, CT — A Waterford man faces multiple charges after allegedly pointing a firearm at another driver during a road rage incident.
East Lyme police responded to the area of Chesterfield Road at 8:20 p.m. on Dec. 14 for a report of a road rage incident.
The victim told officers a male passenger pointed a firearm at him during the dispute.
With assistance from the Waterford Police Department, officers located and arrested the suspect.
Anthony Sharples, 21, of Waterford, was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of a firearm without a serial number, reckless endangerment, threatening, violation of a protective order, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle and illegal possession of a high-capacity magazine.
Sharples was held on $100,000 bond.
