DANVERS, MA — A New York man faces trafficking charges following a three-month narcotics investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies.
Leury Soto, 26, of Bronx, New York, was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of trafficking a controlled substance.
The Danvers Police Department Criminal Investigations Division conducted the investigation with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, Peabody Police Department, Beverly Police Department and Salem Police Department.
Investigators identified a location associated with a narcotics distribution operation during the investigation.
A traffic stop at approximately 10:09 a.m. Friday led to the seizure of more than 200 grams of fentanyl and approximately 100 grams of crack cocaine.
The narcotics were discovered in a concealed compartment within the vehicle and hidden inside candy bags.
