CORNWALL, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a 48-year-old man on domestic assault charges following a report of suspicious activity.
Scott Hirschberg, of Cornwall, was taken into custody at 5:45 p.m. on Dec. 13 after police responded to West Street.
Police said their investigation revealed Hirschberg had placed another household member in fear of imminent serious bodily injury in the presence of a child.
Hirschberg was charged with domestic assault, interference with access to emergency services and committing an offense in the presence of a child.
He was transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing.
Hirschberg was then transported to the Marble Valley Correctional Facility on $600 bail.
He was issued a citation to appear at Addison County Superior Court Criminal Division on Dec. 15 at 12:30 p.m.
