WAYNE, ME — The Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a structure fire that destroyed a home on Wood Road.
The Wayne Fire Department responded to 29 Wood Road at approximately 6:25 p.m. Tuesday after reports of a structure fire.
Firefighters arrived to find the house fully engulfed in flames.
All occupants were able to exit the residence safely.
One person sustained minor injuries and was transported by Winthrop Ambulance to a local hospital for medical evaluation.
Several mutual aid departments assisted in extinguishing the fire.
Due to the extent of fire damage, the cause remains undetermined.
The investigation is ongoing.
