AUBURN, MA — A Brockton man has been arrested on human trafficking and drug charges following an investigation into advertisements for sexual activity.

Auburn Police Department detectives on Monday developed information that a person was advertising sexual activity for a fee in Auburn.

Detectives began communicating with the poster, a woman, who was positively identified before an arranged meeting.

The woman arrived at the arranged destination in Auburn accompanied by a male.

Detectives detained the male and separated him from the woman.

The male was identified as Dario Arron Hamlin-Baxter, 28, of Brockton.

Hamlin-Baxter was arrested and charged with trafficking a person for sexual servitude, possession of a Class B drug and receiving a lost or stolen credit card.

He was arraigned Tuesday in Worcester District Court.

Hamlin-Baxter was out on bail for unrelated charges in another jurisdiction at the time of his arrest.

His bail on those charges was revoked and he is being held at the Worcester County House of Corrections.
