Man arrested on assault charge in Bath

BATH, NY — Officers with the Village of Bath Police Department were dispatched to an address on Evergreen Street for a report of an active disturbance between multiple people at approximately 9:30 p.m. Dec. 5.

Upon arrival, the subjects involved were actively fighting.

They were quickly separated.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that David Lauer, 33, of Bath, struck the victim in the face causing physical injury and damaged property belonging to the victim.

Lauer was arrested for assault in the third degree and criminal mischief in the fourth degree, both class A misdemeanors.

Lauer was processed on his charges and transported to the Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment where he was released.
