GREENWICH, NY — State Police arrested a Greenwich woman after she allegedly threatened a motorist with a stun gun during a road rage incident.
Sydney L. Robyck, 27, of Greenwich, was charged with menacing in the second degree on Nov. 14.
Troopers responded to State Route 40 in Easton at about 5:13 p.m. for a report of a road rage incident where an individual threatened a victim.
The investigation determined Robyck and the victim were engaged in a road rage incident while traveling northbound on State Route 113.
Robyck allegedly stopped and exited her vehicle and approached the victim.
During the confrontation, Robyck reportedly displayed a black Avenger Defense Flashlight Stun Gun with the flashlight on and activated the conducted energy weapon, causing an audible and visible electrical arch while holding it less than a foot from the victim’s face.
Robyck surrendered herself to State Police in Greenwich, where she was arrested and processed.
The stun gun used during the incident was seized.
Robyck was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Easton Town Court on Dec. 18 and released.
