NEWARK, NJ — Police are seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect who stole a package from a residential porch on Dec. 4.
The theft occurred at approximately 3:14 p.m. in the 60 block of Sanford Place, according to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr.
Surveillance video captured the suspect taking the package from the front porch before fleeing east on Sanford Place.
The suspect was wearing an orange and blue hat, a blue hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants with blue pants underneath, and orange and blue sneakers.
Director Miranda is urging anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
