BARRINGTON, NY — A Dundee woman was arrested on drunken driving charges following a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning.
Sonya Conover, 61, of Dundee was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more, failure to keep right and moving from a lane unsafely.
Yates County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Welker Road at 6:41 a.m. Dec. 6 for a report of a one-car motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, deputies observed a gray Jeep with damage stuck in an embankment.
Conover was located nearby on the roadway and displayed signs of intoxication, according to deputies.
She was administered a series of standardized field sobriety tests and transported to Yates County Jail for a chemical breath test.
Conover was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Barrington Town Court at a later date.
