OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME — Two Saco women were arrested on drug trafficking charges following a report of a suspicious vehicle at a local business on Dec. 6.
Old Orchard Beach police officers responded to the scene at approximately 1:13 p.m. after receiving information about the vehicle.
Officers identified two occupants as Heidi M. Aldrich, 44, of Saco, and Denise A. Cassette, 45, of Saco.
An investigation led to the discovery of 33.3 grams of cocaine, 9.2 grams of cocaine base and a significant amount of cash, according to police.
Both women were taken into custody.
Aldrich was charged with unlawful trafficking of schedule W drugs, a Class B felony.
Cassette was charged with unlawful furnishing of schedule W drugs, a Class C felony, and unlawful trafficking of schedule W drugs, a Class B felony.
Both are being held at the York County Jail with bail set at $12,000.
