PENN YAN, NY — A man faces a felony drug charge following a months-long investigation by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
James R. Bell was charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony.
The charge stems from an investigation that began in September.
Investigators sent a suspected controlled substance for laboratory testing and received confirmation of the substance.
Bell was processed at the Yates County Jail at 11:28 a.m. on Dec. 4.
He is scheduled to return to Middlesex Town Court at a later date.
