CAMBRIDGE, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a local man on multiple charges following a traffic stop on Route 15 on Dec. 6.
Troopers from the Williston Barracks were conducting stationary radar speed enforcement near St. Mary’s Church at approximately 10:42 p.m. when they observed a vehicle accelerate from a stop to 60 mph in a posted 35 mph zone.
A traffic stop was initiated near John Putnam Memorial Drive.
The operator was identified as Jacob Edward Yetto, 26, of Cambridge.
Investigation revealed that Yetto held a criminally suspended license.
Police confirmed that Yetto had an active warrant for his arrest.
During conversation with Yetto, troopers observed signs of impairment.
Yetto refused to be screened and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Yetto was transported to the Vermont State Police Williston Barracks for processing and lodged at the Northwest State Correctional Facility on $50 bail.
He was issued a citation to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court on Jan. 21, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. to answer to charges of DUI refusal, second offense, and criminal driving with a suspended license.
He was also issued a citation to appear at Franklin County Superior Court on Dec. 8 at 1 p.m.
