Woman arrested on DUI charge in West Rutland

WEST RUTLAND, VT — A single-car crash on U.S. Route 4 led to a DUI arrest Saturday afternoon.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks responded to the crash near Exit 6 at approximately 4:45 p.m.

While speaking with the operator, Ahleiyah Mason-Rivera, 28, of Shrewsbury, troopers detected signs of impairment.

Mason-Rivera participated in standardized field sobriety tests at the scene and was subsequently taken into custody for driving under the influence.

She was transported to the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks for processing.

Mason-Rivera was released on a citation to appear in Rutland County Superior Court, Criminal Division on December 22 at 12:30 p.m.

Troopers were assisted by the West Rutland Fire Department and Regional Ambulance Services.
