Man charged with retail theft in Londonderry

LONDONDERRY, VT — Vermont State Police have charged a man in connection with a retail theft at Londonderry Village Market.

Nicholas Fortunati, 36, of Groton, was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham County, Criminal Division.

The incident was reported at approximately 9:01 a.m. July 18 at the Londonderry Village Market on Vermont Route 100.

State Police from the Westminster Barracks released information Aug. 20 requesting assistance in identifying the person involved.

Through investigation, troopers identified Fortunati as the suspect.

Fortunati was contacted by troopers and issued a citation.

He is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 27, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge of retail theft.
