STARKSBORO, VT — A single-vehicle rollover crash on Vermont Route 17 left a Ford Expedition totaled but its driver uninjured Wednesday afternoon.
Troopers were dispatched at approximately 1:17 p.m. to the crash site roughly one mile east of the intersection of Vermont Route 116.
The investigation revealed that Samantha Sawyer, 42, of Starksboro, was traveling east on Route 17 when she fishtailed and lost control of her vehicle.
The 2014 Ford Expedition exited the roadway and overturned down an embankment before coming to rest on its roof.
Sawyer, who was wearing a seat belt, was the only occupant in the vehicle and was not injured.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by officers from the Bristol Police Department, EMTs from Bristol Rescue and firefighters from Bristol Fire Department.
CDR Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.
