SWANTON, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a shooting incident in which a gunman fired at a moving vehicle from another vehicle early Friday morning.
At approximately 2:04 a.m., police were alerted through 911 of a shooting that occurred on Route 78 near Campbell Bay Road.
The report indicated an unknown male fired a long gun from a moving vehicle at another moving vehicle traveling westbound.
The suspect vehicle was described as a second-generation Toyota Tacoma of unknown color.
The suspect was described as a male in the passenger seat of the vehicle.
Troopers responded to the area but were unable to locate the vehicle or suspects.
The victim’s vehicle was damaged, but no injuries were reported.
Vermont State Police are seeking the public’s assistance with information to aid in the investigation.
